The U.S. Air Force’s Air Combat Command sought to provide more personalized health care for its fighter pilots due to neck and returned troubles that have plagued aviators for years due to long assignment flights and ejections out of the plane.
Gen. Mike Holmes, head of Air Combat Command, disclosed the news at some point of a stay gaming consultation in which he played “Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown” along with his son, 1st Lt. Wade Holmes, remaining month.
Holmes, who said he’d suffered neck and lower back pain from G-forces over the last decade, explained that the service is attempting to include extra bodily therapists in squadrons, so pilots do now not grow to be physically worn down from years of flying.

Similar efforts are underway for airmen in other career fields. Both Air Education and Training Command and Air Force Special Operations Command have added in personal coaches to useful resources in bodily therapy and training strategies, officers have stated in current months.
Additionally, via Oct. 1, Air Force Basic Military Training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, hopes to introduce “embedded sports activities remedy” into its program.
“Embedded sports remedy will put a particularly skilled exercising physiologist in every unmarried squadron as a way to educate each our permanent birthday party personnel and be there to teach and counsel our trainees regarding what ‘right’ looks like when it comes to the technological know-how of exercise,” Col.
